1. The Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, (BVAS) was developed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to inject technological impetus into our electoral system.

It will help in ensuring a seamless transition to a technology-driven voting process where human interference with the balloting and result declaration processes will be minimal.

2. INEC has opened up several online portals for continued registration of voters(CVR) and the INEC Result Viewing Portal, IREV. Information on this can be found on www.inecnigeria.org

3. The Commission’s engineers designed the INEC Voter Enrolment Device (IVED). This device was manufactured to be used as the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System. It is intended as an improvement on the Smart Card Reader, (SCR) that was used in previous elections .
